Could you offer me a forever home?

This lovely lady was brought into us by a member of public last week after being found in their garden. She was very poorly and was fitting. She required emergency treatment immediately.

We did not know her history but unfortunately have dealt with many similar cases in the past. When she was presented she had an oily patch on the back of her neck. This oily patch and seizures made us suspicious that she had flea treatment applied in the last 12 hours.

Some over the counter dog flea treatments contain Permethrin, which is highly toxic to cats and can be fatal.

We washed the oily patch and started emergency treatment of her seizures. Over the following days she slowly improved and we are delighted to say she has made a full recovery.

Unfortunately she does not have a microchip and was not wearing a collar and we have been unable to locate her owners.

We are now looking for a new home for her. If you think you could offer Ivy her forever home, please contact our Cardiff team on 02920 529444.
