New Diagnostic Equipment

In our continued commitment to provide the best possible medical care and diagnostic equipment, Valley Vets Ltd have invested in some of the latest diagnostic equipment at our hospital sites.

We have invested in digital radiography (x-ray) systems and new electrolyte (salts dissolved in the blood) analysers.The digital radiography systems decrease the time it takes to take multiple radiographs (x-rays), thereby reducing the time spent by our patients under sedation or anaesthesia. This in turn increases the safety when large radiographic studies have to be performed. The digital images can also be instantly e-mailed to colleagues or a specialist if a second opinion is required.

The new electrolyte analysers are also the most up to date and accurate analysers on the the market. They make it possible for us to have almost immediate results in critical cases. Electrolyte imbalances can be life threatening and our continued ability to measure these in-house rather than relying on external laboratories (where the results would only be known the following day), means that we can continue to provide immediate treatment in critical cases.
