Lorna grew up in Glasgow and knew she wanted to be a vet from the time she was 'knee high', spending the majority of her childhood on her cousins farm on the Mull of Kintyre. Lorna studied in Edinburgh at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies where she qualified in 2009. After University, Lorna ventured south to Bridgend where she worked in a mixed practice for over two years before joining Valley Vets in 2012.
Lorna's main interests in work are internal medicine. She completed a Small Animal Medicine Certificate in 2016, which she received a distinction for! And she became an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in 2017.
Over the years, Lorna has collected a number of waifs and strays including a collie cross found wandering the streets of Edinburgh and a naughty terrier with a heart condition.
Lorna's interests outside of work mainly involve keeping fit. She enjoys nothing more than running up and down sand dunes at the crack of dawn every Saturday morning and she is running the London Marathon in 2018.
