Rachel Kenvyn

Veterinary Surgeon

Rachel grew up in the South Wales valleys and has been passionate about animal care for as long as she can remember. Rachel was set on becoming a vet and began volunteering at a veterinary practice and horse riding stables at the age of 14.

Graduating from the University of Bristol in 2012 (with distinction) was a joyous moment for Rachel as it meant that she could perform her lifetime passion and provide love and care to her animal patients.

In October 2012, Rachel started working for a small animal practice in Wiltshire. She remained there until December 2013, when she returned to her home country and started working for a busy charity veterinary hospital in Cardiff. Rachel joined Valley Vets in January 2016.

Rachel enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice. She has particular interests in small animal surgery (especially soft tissue surgery) and she has just completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, and cannot wait to put all her new skills in to practice. Rachel prides herself on a caring and considerate approach and looks forward to meeting your pets.

Outside of work Rachel enjoys walking and playing with her dog Indie and keeping fit through running and mountain biking.
