Vicky’s love for animals goes way back. From a very young age she was often found ‘treating’ insects brought in from the garden, as well as looking after her own pets.
She started to pursue her passion caring for animals at the age of sixteen, by working part time at a local pet store whilst also studying for an Animal Management diploma for two years. As part of the Diploma, she was lucky enough to gain work experience at a wildlife sanctuary in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, caring for a wide array of animals including birds, wallabies and monkeys.
After completion of her Diploma, Vicky worked at a local vet practice for four years, where she trained to become a veterinary nurse, qualifying in 2014. The same year, Vicky joined Valley Vets. She has recently completed her certificate in Small Animal Nutrition, and is looking forward to the next challenge!
In her free time, Vicky is kept busy with her furry family that includes; 'Skye' and 'Pebbles' the dogs, 'Charlie' the rabbit, and 'Ninja' and the cat. She has recently extended her non furry family with baby Kal being born in early 2016.
With any time left over she enjoys sight-seeing, swimming and trips to the cinema.
