Reducing Rabbit Stress at a Vet Visit

Happily, as time moves on, far fewer of our bunnies are being confined to small hutches at the bottom of the garden and more and more are enjoying quality life with their rabbit and human companions. However, they don't like leaving their home environment and being a "prey species" are particularly sensitive to unusual sounds, smells and sights - so a trip to the vet is not usually top of their "to do" list. A few can become very distressed. But did you know there are loads of things that you, as "bunny parent" can do to help them?
We are very proud to be Practice Members of the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund and be listed by them as a “Rabbit Friendly” Practice.
We have made many changes within the practice to reduce stress in rabbits during their visit to us, but for these changes to really help we also need your cooperation before the visit even starts.
