We have had three confirmed cases of Canine Parvovirus (Parvo) over the last week in and around the Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil and Cwmbran areas.
Parvovirus is a highly contagious disease that can affect dogs and puppies, and can result in the death of your pet.
It is spread through direct contact from an infected dog, but can also be spread by contact with an infected dogs faeces.
It is a very hardy virus which can lay dormant in the environment. Puppies and unvaccinated dogs are particularly at risk.
