Nichi Cockburn
Nichi qualified as an Registered Veterinary Nurse from Berkshire College of Agriculture in 2000 and joined Valley Vets in 2002. She worked as an emergency and critical care nurse for many years before training in rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
Nichi is a fully qualified member of the Institute for Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP). She is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, as awarded by the University of Tennessee. Nichi gained the top student award while studying for her Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy.
Nichi is extremely passionate about the welfare and well being of all our patients. She has a wealth of knowledge and a unquenchable thirst to know more. In Nichi's opinion "the more we know, the more we can help".
Her favourite part of the job is helping to improve the quality of life of her patients and working with their owners to achieve this. Nichi works closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop an individual care package for pain management and rehabilitation.
Outside of work she adores spending time with her family, which includes her partner, two human step children and three furry, feline children.
