Congratulations are in order..

Congratulations to our vet Rob Harry who has recently been Certified for Advanced Practioner status in Small Animal Surgery (CertAVP SAS) by RCVS. This means that Rob will be added to the RCVS list of Advanced Practitioners for the next 5 years.

The list of Advanced Practitioners represents the middle tier of veterinary accreditation. Those on the list hold a postgraduate qualification in their designated area of interest, in addition to their initial veterinary degree, and have also demonstrated that they are keeping up to date with their knowledge and competence in their chosen area.

RCVS Advanced Practitioners are not Specialists, which is the next tier of accreditation available, but accreditation as an Advanced Practitioner provides the public with additional assurances that the individual has undertaken further study and ongoing professional development in a particular area of clinical practice.

Rob said "I'm really proud to achieve this qualification. I hope I can use the knowledge and skills I have learned and build on this to maintain Valley Vets at the leading edge of veterinary services in South Wales and beyond."
