Victoria Stearman
Victoria has always been fond of small mammals, having grown up around many rabbits and hamsters. Deciding at a young age she would love to work with animals, she ended up graduating with a BSc(Hons) in Veterinary Nursing from the Royal Veterinary College in 2016. During her studies, she completed research into post-operative ileus in rabbits, which won ‘Best Undergraduate Research’ from the British Veterinary Nursing Association.
Victoria has experience in both small animal general and referral practice but is now focused solely on working with exotic pets and has been since December 2020, joining the Valley Exotics team in June 2022. She has completed the Advanced Programme in Veterinary Nursing of Small Mammals and is currently studying for her avian certificate.
At home Victoria has Churro & Jelly the chihuahuas, Merri & Pippin the Persian jirds and Karen the Indian Ringneck Parakeet! She hopes to add another Indian Ringneck to the flock soon to complete her menagerie.
In her spare time, she enjoys photography, snowboarding and playing video games. She often takes her 2 chihuahuas to Canine Hoopers agility classes and hopes to compete with them soon!
